My name is Tatsuya and I’m a traditional Japanese carpenter.
I endeavour to spread the merits of natural materials such as pure solid wood, clay walls, Kawara (Japanese roof tiles) etc that humans have been appreciating since long time ago knowing its advantages. I communicate with each and every timber and grasp the personality of it to make the most of its characteristics when I do my work.
A house is the important space where the whole family grow and mature. I take big pride and passion in being able to build such places. Every house I take part in building is truly a treasure for me.
